The singer and actress has announced two special concerts to celebrate the release of her debut album.
Following on from the news that she will be taking on the role of Effie White full time from next week, Marisha Wallace has announced that she will be performing two special concerts at the Charing Cross Theatre on the 3rd December to celebrate the release of her debut album.
As well as performing tracks from ‘Soul Holiday’, she will be performing a number of festive favourites including Do You Hear What I Hear and I’ll Be Home For Christmas. The concerts will see her joined on stage with a few special guests.
Talking about the news Marisha Wallace said: “My memories of Christmas live in the music that I listened to while making Christmas dinner with my Grandma Mary. The songs that rang through the house while we unwrapped gifts and prayed together over the food. I wanted to create an album that had all the fixings of a Christmas dinner but with a healthy helping of soul. A Christmas album that you would want to listen to even if it wasn’t Christmas. In a world that is in much need of some joy, let’s start with the soul.”
Having made her West End debut in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre, Marisha’s previous stage credits include: Celie in The Color Purple in Concert (Cadogan Hall), Something Rotten! and Disney’s Aladdin.
