NEWS: Marisha Wallace announces New Album

It has been announced that West End star Marisha Wallace will release a brand new album on the 15th August.

Released via Westway Music and Center Stage Records, the album is set to feature a range of musical theatre songs and original numbers that she performed live in concert at the Adelphi theatre earlier this year.

The first single from the album, “Maybe This Time” from Cabaret was released on the 20th June.

Other songs on the album include: “Some People” (Gypsy), “Mysterious Ways” (The Color Purple), a Whitney Houston medley, “The Gods Love Nubia” (Aida), “Tomorrow” (Annie), “Shine”, “I Cain’t Say No” (Oklahoma!), “My Man” (Funny Girl), “Miles and Miles” (Jingle Jangle), “And I Am Telling You” (Dreamgirls), “Dreamgirls” (Dreamgirls), “Listen” (Dreamgirls), “I Didn’t Plan It” (Waitress), “Adelaide’s Lament” (Guys and Dolls), “Maybe This Time” (Cabaret), “Take Back Your Mink” (Guys and Dolls), an Etta James medley, “I Know Where I’ve Been” (Hairspray), “Cabaret” (Cabaret), and an encore performance of “Proud Mary”.

Among her credits to date, Wallace has appeared in the London productions of: Dreamgirls, Waitress, Hairspray, Oklahoma! and Guys and Dolls.

Talking about the news Marisha said: “Live in London was recorded at the historic Adelphi Theatre—a place that holds my heart, where I once took to the stage night after night in Waitress, pouring my soul into every song. This album is a labour of love, a celebration of the music that brought me here, and a thank-you to every person who’s been part of this extraordinary journey.”
