It has been announced that a new Florian Zeller play will be heading to the West End this October.
Following runs at Richmond Theatre and the Cambridge Arts Theatre, it has been announced that Florian Zeller’s latest play will head to London’s Wyndham’s Theatre from the 2nd October.
Directed by Jonathan Kent, the production is set to star two-time Tony Award-winner Jonathan Pryce and three-time Olivier Award winner Dame Eileen Atkins.
Jonathan Pryce is best known for his stage work which has included The Engineer in the original 1989 production of Miss Saigon, Fagin in the 1984 revival of Oliver and Professor Higgins in My Fair Lady in 2001.
Eileen Atkins’ previous stage credits includes the Old Vic’s 1978 production of Twelfth Night, Passion Play at the Aldwych in 1981, An Unexpected Man in London and Off-Broadway in 1998 and Honour at the National Theatre in 2003.
The Height of the Storm has been adapted by Christopher Hampton, who has previously adapted Florian Zeller’s The Father and The Lie.
André and Madeleine have been in love for over fifty years. This weekend, as their daughters visit, something feels unusual. A bunch of flowers arrives, but who sent them? A woman from the past turns up, but who is she? And why does André feel like he isn’t there at all?
The Height of the Storm will play at the Wyndham’s Theatre from the 2nd October until the 1st December. To book tickets click here or visit: Ticketmaster.co.uk, See Tickets.com, Encore Tickets, Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk, Love Theatre.com.
