Playing at the King’s Head Theatre from the 6th June, casting for the European premiere has been confirmed.

It has been announced that Sandra Dickinson (I Loved Lucy, West End) and Jonathan Chambers (Doubt, A Parable, Southwark Playhouse) will star in the upcoming European premiere of Keith Bunin’s The Unbuilt City, playing at the King’s Head theatre from the 6th to the 30th June.

On a cold afternoon in February, Jonah knocks on the door of a townhouse in Brooklyn Heights. He’s come to ask Claudia to sell her famously secret collection to a university archive. But in order to do that, he’ll have to persuade her to reveal her own enigmatic past, and to illuminate a series of mysteries about the nature of love, legacy and the untold history of New York City. 

Having had its world premiere at the New York Stage And Film Vassar in The Powerhouse Season summer 2015. This European premiere is just the second time the play has been staged.

This European premiere is directed by Glen Walford, who among his many credits has been the Founder and first Artistic Director of London Bubble Theatre Company (1972-1979), Chung-Ying Theatre Company, Hong Kong (1979-1982) and Artistic Director of Everyman Theatre, Liverpool (1982-1989).

The production is being produced by Making Productions and Graffiti Productions.
