The West End production has confirmed its full new London cast joining the production from March 2023.

It has been announced that Alexia Khadime will return to the production to lead the cast as Elphaba, with The Phantom of the Opera star Lucy St. Louis as Glinda. Caitlin Anderson will make her West End debut as Nessarose, and current ensemble cast member Joe Thompson-Oubari will take over the role of Boq. Meanwhile, they will be joined in the production by Ryan Reid (Fiyero), Sophie-Louise Dann (Madame Morrible), Mark Curry (The Wizard), Simeon Truby (Doctor Dillamond), Amy Webb (Standby for Elphaba), Lisa-Anne Wood (Standby for Glinda), Yuki Abe, Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Conor Ashman, Jessica Aubrey, Joshua Clemetson, Fergus Dale, Effie Rae Dyson, Nicola Espallardo, Danny Fogarty, Ross Harmon, Kate Leiper, Nick Len, Jemima Loddy, Joshua Lovell, PaddyJoe Martin, Millie Mayhew, Harry Mills, Daniel Parrott, Aiesha Naomi Pease, Jeanie Ryan, Natalie Spriggs, James Titchener, Micaela Todd, Christine Tucker, Jaydon Vijn and Taela Yeomans-Brown. They will begin performances on the 7th March.
The musical is based on Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire and is directed by Joe Mantello and adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman. It features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, The Prince of Egypt; Disney’s Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Enchanted), including songs such as ‘For Good’ and ‘Defying Gravity’.
Meanwhile, the creative team also includes: musical staging by Wayne Cilento, set design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and sound design by Tony Meola.
