The singer and presenter will play Teen Angel when the musical heads back to the Dominion theatre from the 2nd June.  

It has been announced that English singer, songwriter and presenter Louise Redknapp will play the role from the 2nd June until the 29th July (excluding Monday performances). Producers have also confirmed that 2022 cast members Dan Partridge as Danny, Olivia Moore as Sandy and Jocasta Almgill as Rizzo are returning for the show’s new run, which will play in the West End until the 28th October. Further casting has yet to be announced.

The musical, which has been directed for this production by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Dame Arlene Phillips, follows the story Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski, high school sweethearts who are reunited at Rydell High for their senior year. Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey’s musical features the classic songs  “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “Greased Lightnin’”, and “Summer Nights.”

The creative team behind this revival of the musical includes: designs by Colin Richmond, orchestrations and musical supervision by Sarah Travis, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker, video and projection design by Douglas O’Connell and casting by David Grindrod CDG.

Grease originally opened in Chicago in 1971 followed by a move to Broadway in 1972, where it received seven Tony Award nominations, including one for Best Musical. During the show’s eight-year run at the time, little known actors including Peter Gallagher, Patrick Swayze and John Travolta all appeared in the production, with Richard Gere understudying many roles before going on to star as Danny Zuko in the 1973 London premiere.
