Here’s a guide to some of the shows we recommend that you book tickets for this week…

Bonnie & Clyde, Garrick Theatre: following concert performances at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Arts Theatre last year, this musical returns to the London stage for a strictly limited run. Directed by Nick Winston, the production sees Frances Mayli McCann and Jordan Luke Gage as the titular pair (reprising their roles from the run at the Arts Theatre last year). Find out why we loved it here.
Further Than The Furthest Thing, Young Vic Theatre: beginning performances from the 9th March, this Young Vic production marks the first major London staging of the play by Zinnie Harris in over 20 years. This revival stars Jenna Russell (Fun Home, Piaf), Cyril Nri (Trouble in Mind, The Barbershop Chronicles, The Bill) and Archie Madekwe (Midsommar, See). Based on real events that took place on the island of Tristan da Cunha, this new production is directed by Jennifer Tang.
Guys & Dolls, Bridge Theatre: Nicholas Hytner’s new production of the classic musical is the first to be presented at the Bridge Theatre since it first opened. We are excited about this production not only because of the choreography by Arlene Phillips we can expect, but also the stellar cast bringing the characters to life including: Daniel Mays (Nathan Detroit), Andrew Richardson (Sky Masterson), Celinde Schoenmaker (Sarah Brown), Marisha Wallace (Miss Adelaide) and Cedric Neal (Nicely-Nicely Johnson).
Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Lyric Hammersmith: opening for previews on the 13th March, this new revival of Dario Fo and Franca Rame’s play has been adapted for the Lyric Hammersmith by Tom Basden. It follows the story of the death of an anarchist who falls to his death from a police station window. But did he jump or was he thrown? Here at Love London Love Culture – we love a bit of satire so excited to see how it plays out.
Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons , Lemons, Harold Pinter Theatre: this is your last chance to catch Sam Steiner’s play in the West End (until the 18th March) before it heads to Manchester Opera House (21 -25 March) and Theatre Royal Brighton (28 March – 1 April 2023). Starring Aidan Turner and Jenna Coleman, it is a funny, heartwarming and clever play that follows the relationship between Oliver and Bernadette, who relationship changes once the government puts in place a law that limits the words that people can speak per day. Oklahoma!, Wyndham’s Theatre: the critically acclaimed production has now officially moved into its new home in the heart of the West End. This reimagined version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical is a real breath of fresh air in London. You can read our review here.
