Open air screenings will begin taking place under the stars from the 21st July.

Independent cinema Pop Up Screens returns this Summer from the 21st July until the 24th September, teaming up with Gü to mark their new cocktail-inspired Mixology range and present a summer of feel-good movies under the stars.

Travelling to Hammersmith’s Ravenscourt Park, Esher’s National Trust Property Claremont Gardens, Beckenham Place Park, Bexley’s Hall Place, Fulham’s Bishops Park, Crystal Palace Park, Brockley’s Hillyfields, Sydenham’s Mayow Park, Hither Green’s Manor House Gardens, Greenwich Peninsula’s Central Park, and finally Milton Keynes’ Campbell Park, Pop Up Screens will show a range of films to entertain audiences.

The film programme line up is set to include: coming-of-age films such as  Ten Things I Hate About You and Romeo + Juliet, musicals Grease and The Greatest Showman, and timeless romance stories like Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman as well as more recent movies that rocked the box office, including Elvis and Top Gun: Maverick.

Those attending can bring their own blankets, beanbags, cushions and chairs for the evening. There will of course be popcorn and craft beer from the bar on offer, plus they can bring their own drinks and snacks too.

Pop Up Screens’ founder, David Leydon, said: “Pop Up Screens is all about finding films people love and giving them the opportunity to share that love with their friends and family and a whole new community of people they’ve never met before but that also equally love that movie. When you’ve got hundreds of people all in the same place, at the same time, all loving the same movie, it creates a brilliant atmosphere and it is genuinely one of the best ways to watch movies and brilliantly I get to do it every night of the summer.”
