Based on the hit film, the musical will begin performances at the Savoy Theatre in June 2024.

The musical, which was first seen in Washington in 2017 before heading to Broadway in 2018 will be heading to the West End next summer.

Based on the film starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, the stage adaptation was written by Tina Fey with music by Jeff Richmond and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Songs include: “Meet the Plastics”, “Apex Predator” and “Revenge Party”.

The 2004 film follows the story of Cady Heron, a homeschooled teenager who is attending high school for the first time. Before long she gets in with the Plastics — a popular clique consisting of airheaded Karen, gossipy Gretchen, and of course queen bee Regina — but the drama really begins when she tries to take Regina down.

Mean Girls the Musical is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw( The Book of Mormon).
