The film is set to be released in UK & Ireland cinemas on the 26th January 2024.
A brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming film adaptation of the musical The Color Purple, based on the novel by Alice Walker and based on the musical stage play, which features a book (of the musical stage play) by Marsha Norman, music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray. The screenplay for this film has been written by Marcus Gardley, who won a WGA Award for “Maid” and is directed by Blitz Bazawule, a multi-medium artist whose breakout first feature is the highly acclaimed “The Burial of Kojo.”
