Q&A With…. Juliet Agnes

We chatted to Juliet about starring in the 20th anniversary production of The Big Life at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.

Hi Juliet, how does it feel to be part of this revival of The Big Life? It feels so special! Having the opportunity to retell and honour the stories of all those who came before us, in such a truthful, fun and joyful way, is truly a privilege for me! I feel so blessed to be a part of it!

For those who haven’t seen the musical before – what can they expect?  Lots of laughter, love, joy and truth!

How has it been working on the production so far?  Amazing! Working alongside such a fantastic cast has been electric! Everyone is so talented and seeing the way in which all the characters have been brought off the page, and into the rehearsal room with such brilliance and dexterity has been a real highlight for me.

Do you have a favourite aspect about the show? Don’t make me choose, haha! I love it all, but if I had to choose, I would say the music! The music really is brilliant!

What would you say the main message of The Big Life is?  Community, togetherness, and love! Despite the challenges, with community, perseverance and love, everyone can live out their own version of  ‘The Big Life’.
