The theatre continues its 30th anniversary celebrations.

The Jermyn Street Theatre’s Artistic Director Stella Powell-Jones and Executive Producer, David Doyle have announced details of the venue’s Autumn 2024 season as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
This newly announced season will open with the London premiere of Abigail Pickard Price’s production of Jane Austen’s classic Pride & Prejudice. Running at the theatre from the 19th August until the 7th September, the production is a collaboration with the Guildford Shakespeare Company.
Meanwhile, from the 24th to the 28th September, Janie Dee will take to the stage in Janie Dee’s Beautiful World Cabaret. The show will take audiences on a journey through man’s relationship with nature told with song and spoken word. It marks the return to the theatre for Dee following her performance in Laughing Boy.
The season will then continue with Sarah Ruhl’s adaptation of Eurydice, directed by Stella Powell-Jones this production re-focuses the attention of the myth onto Eurydice instead of Orpheus. It will run at the theatre from the 3rd October until the 9th November.
To round off 2024, Charles Court Opera will take to the stage with their production Napoleon: Un Petit Pantomime, an anarchic romp that reimagines the life and loves of that small man with big ambitions, l’Empereur immortel Monsieur Napoleon Bonaparte. This production will take place at the Jermyn Street Theatre from the 21st November until the 5th January 2025.
Talking about the season, Stella Powell-Jones said: “Thirty years ago, our wonderful Executive Director Penny Horner came down the stairs at 16b Jermyn Street for the first time. Where others saw only the upstairs restaurant’s defunct changing room, Penny could see what could be: a studio theatre right in the heart of the West End. At their core stories of adventure, these shows insist on the power of imagination: a fitting tribute to the journey begun that day in 1994. Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice even centres on a heroine’s trip down the stairs! The best birthday celebrations introduce old friends and new. And so, this season brings together some of our most beloved stories and distinguished writers and actors with new thrilling voices.”
