The new treatments at the Paestum, Italy based hotel is inspired by the wellness tradition in the Cilento area, Campania, Southern Italy.
The Savoy Hotel & Spa, based behind Paestum Archeological Area, is opening its newly renovated Holos Spa which will include 700 square meters of space designed to be intimate and welcoming.
In terms of design, the spa was designed by architect Giampiero Panepinto and uses materials such as purple calacatta marble and dark lava stones. Inside the Holos Spa there is three pools at controlled temperatures, a salt cave, an ice room, a Turkish bath with a rasul area, and a sauna.
Meanwhile, in addition the spa also includes an area for two, with a private sauna, a pool, a Turkish bath, and two massage beds.
“It’s difficult to find a place like this in Italy. The Holos Spa was designed with a space-volume concept that aimed at hospitality – explains architect Giampiero Panepinto – We wanted a large spa, that recalled the style of the resort and was unique for the area. The rooms are very large, in particular in the Salt Cave and the Ice Room. The rooms are welcoming, with a Mediterranean and even slightly exotic inspiration. For the materials we focused on great quality, we wanted a clear, clean effect, and natural materials. We also focused on warm lights for the lighting and the accessories are all designed specifically for the Spa.”
In terms of the treatments, the spa uses organic products from organic buffalo milk, grapes, and olive oil produced in the heart of the National Park of Cilento. Each of the new signature treatments has been designed to take guests on a sensory journey including a massage whci begins with deep manual strokes using organic extra virgin olive oil, flavoured with mulberry essence and heated to enhance the relaxing effect. The body is then wrapped in soft, warm towels for a total well-being effect and finally, a stretching manual massage is performed to relieve the neck area.
Massages and treatments with a view of the sea are available at Holos Spa by the Sea at Beach Club 93, for a wellness break caressed by the sea breeze of Cilento. Special Cabanas have being built as the summer extension of the Holos Spa. Yoga classes are available upon request on the beach and in the garden.
Also new for this summer season, Savoy Hotel & Spa launches Savoy Club Experience, a new tailored program of four days that combines a stay at the hotel in the newly revamped rooms by Giampiero Panepinto; access to Beach Club 93, the new state-of-the-art Holos Spa and a wide range of private visits to landmark spots in the area, including UNESCO heritage sites to step back in time and explore Paestum’s archaeological park.
