The film is set to be released in cinemas on the 15th November.
The official trailer for Ridley Scott’s new film Gladiator II, which will be heading to cinemas later this year.
This sequel to the 2000 Oscar winning film will see Paul Mescal starring as Lucius, son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and the late Lucius Verus, who watched the heroics of Russell Crowe’s Maximus in the first film. Inspired by him, the enslaved Lucius is inspired to beat the current emperors Caracalla and Geta, played by Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger respectively.
The film also stars Denzel Washington as slave owner and power broker, Macrinus and Pedro Pascal as Roman general Marcus Acacius.
Gladiator II features a score composed once again by Hans Zimmer and was written by Peter Craig and David Scarpa.
