The film is set to be released on the 4th October.
A brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux which is set for release later this year.
The new trailer arrives ahead of the film’s world premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival, which will run from the 28th August until the 7th September.
Directed by Todd Phillips, who directed The Hangover and War Dogs prior to Joker, this sequel to the 2019 film follows that of Arthur Fleck who is institutionalised while awaiting trial for his crimes as ‘Joker’.
The film will see Joaquin Phoenix (who won an Oscar for his performance in the first film)reprising his role as Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga joining the cast as Dr Harleen Quinzel, a psychiatrist assigned to treat Fleck at Arkham Asylum who later becomes his accomplice Harley Quinn.
Meanwhile, the cast also includes Zazie Beetz who is reprising her role as Sophie in the sequel, with newcomers including: Industry’s Harry Lawtey, Maze Runner‘s Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Avatar: The Last Airbender‘s Ken Leung and The Banshees of Inisherin‘s Brendan Gleeson.
Set to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures, the film’s title refers to a psychiatric syndrome in which a delusional state is shared by two people.
The film was co-written by Todd Philips & Scott Silver and Philips produced the film with Bradley Cooper.
