NEWS: UK Premiere Announced for Philip Quast’s Solo Show ‘The Road I Took’

The show will head to London’s Crazy Coqs for six nights only between the 5th to the 21st October.

It has been announced that the  three-time winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical (South Pacific, Sunday in the Park With George at the National Theatre and The Fix at The Donmar Warehouse, directed by Sam Mendes) is bringing his solo show to Crazy Coqs this October.

‘The Road I Took’ is set to feature songs and intimate stories from the performer, who is best known for his roles as Javert in Les Miserables as well as Emile de Becque in South Pacific and George Seurat in Sunday in the Park With George. He was last seen in London playing Benjamin Stone in the National Theatre production of Follies.

The show will see him performing songs from shows such as  South Pacific, Follies, La Cage aux Folles, The Secret Garden and Les Miserables as well as behind-the-scenes stories that helped to shape Quast’s career. He will be accompanied by his wife and colleague Anne-Maree McDonald at the piano.
