Halloween Art and Cookery Master Class for Kids, Colonel Saab restaurant, Trafalgar Square on the 28th October: encourage your children’s creativity ands love of cooking, with the help of Colonel Saab restaurant, who are putting on a cooking and art masterclass for those aged 5 to 11 on Monday 28th October between 1pm to 3pm.
Under the guidance of chefs and artists, children will explore the world of festive cooking while crafting spooky Halloween decorations. From meringue ghosts and spooky cookie decorating to pumpkin carving and more, this session promises to engage and entertain.
The experience costs £35 per child (which covers aprons, hats, materials, ingredients etc) and spaces are limited so it is advised that you book early!
Go and see Wicked the Musical: Halloween doesn’t have to be scary and it can be magical – particularly when you head to the Apollo Victoria Theatre to catch this musical inspired by the Wizard of Oz, to tell the story of Glinda and Elphaba and how their lives take an unexpected turn when the meet the Wizard of Oz.
It also a perfect time to catch the show live, ahead of the highly anticipated film adaptation which is due out in November!
Halloween at Kew: how about having a spooky time at Kew Gardens this October, with its after dark Halloween trail created by the same team behind Kew at Christmas. You are invited to come and wonder round the the grounds from dusk until dark and keep an eye out for flickering flames in the fiendish fire garden and grinning pumpkins – with extra surprises also in store!
Also get into the Autumnal feel, with a host of cosy treats also available to purchase. Visitors are invited to enjoy this spooky experience between the 18th October until the 3rd November.
Halloween at the Tower of London: prepare to unleash ghostly legends at the Tower of London, as visitors wonder around the iconic castle, filled with plenty of spooky installations and surprises along the way. Entrance to this is included as part of the entry ticket price and runs from the 26th October until the 3rd November.
Learn about the Dark Arts as part of the Warner Bros. Studio Tour : from now until the 10th November, visitors can prepare for Halloween with this feature devoted to the dark arts (included as part of the tour. From pumpkin lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the Great Hall to Death Eaters emerging along the way, there is plenty to thrill visitors. Those attending can also learn more about duelling techniques as well as put their spell-casting to the test against the Death Eaters.
While the feature is an annual occurance, new for 2024 is ominous Dementors will be floating in the Forbidden Forest as well as the infamous clown Boggart which will be on display – but those who wish to avoid both elements do speak to a member of staff.
