The production will run at the Wyndham’s Theatre from the 17th April until the 12th July.
The full cast and creative team has been announced for the world premiere production of Lila Raicek’s My Master Builder, directed by Michael Grandage.
Joining the previously announced Ewan McGregor in the production will be: Elizabeth Debicki, Kate Fleetwood, David Ajala, and Mirren Mack.
The new play inspired by Ibsen, sees McGregor and Grandage reuniting following their previous collaborations on Othello and Guys and Dolls at the Donmar Warehouse.
On the eve of July 4th in the Hamptons, Elena Solness, a publishing magnate, is preparing to throw a party to celebrate her architect husband, Henry Solness, as he unveils his latest masterpiece. Their already vulnerable union is shattered by the unexpected arrival of Mathilde, a former student of Henry’s, with whom he previously shared an intimate connection. As the evening unfolds, each find themselves face to face with a reckoning that indelibly tilts the axis of their lives.
Officially opening at the Wyndham’s Theatre on the 29th April, the creative team includes: set and costume designer Richard Kent, lighting designer Paule Constable, composer and sound designer Adam Cork, casting director Sophie Holland, associate director Bethany West, production manager Kate West, costume supervisor Lisa Aitken and prop supervisor Kate Margretts.
