NEWS: Full Casting Announced for West End Revival of The Deep Blue Sea

Complete casting has now been announced for the West End transfer of Lindsay Posner’s production of The Deep Blue Sea which ran at the Bath Theatre Royal last year.

This West End run of the show sees both Tamsin Greig reprising her role as Hester and Finbar Lynch as Miller, with Hadley Fraser and Selina Cadell joining the London run. Also reprising his role from the Bath production is Nicholas Farrell and the cast is completed by Marc Elliott, Preston Nyman, and Lisa Ambalavanar.

When you’re stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, the deep blue sea can sometimes look very inviting. In this powerful drama of passion versus loyalty, Hester Collyer, the daughter of a clergyman and wife of a judge is floundering in the closing stages of a hopeless affair. Freddie Page, her lover, a handsome but shallow ex-Battle of Britain pilot, is out of his depth in their relationship, overwhelmed by the strength of an emotion he is incapable of reciprocating…

Officially opening in the West End on the 14th May, the production’s creative team includes: Peter McKintosh (set and costume design), Paul Pyant (lighting design), Gregory Clarke (sound design), Will Stuart (composition), Carole Hancock (hair, wigs and make-up design), Ginny Schiller (casting), and George Jibson (associate director).

It is presented by  Theatre Royal Bath Productions and Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen for Access Entertainment.
