It has been announced that cabaret theatre show House of Life has launched House of Life Records, a new record label with a sales and distribution deal with Right Track/Universal Music Operations.
The title track ‘House of Life’ is available now via all streaming platforms ahead of
the critically-acclaimed show returning to Soho Theatre later this month. The track is available to listen to here .
House of Life producer Sam Hodges says “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Right Track at Universal Music to launch our very own record label, through which we intend to launch a whole hymn-book worth of funk and pop bangers into the cosmos, written and sung by our very own Raverend and Trev.’
The shows will start at the Soho Theatre (26th – 31st May) before heading to Brixton House (2nd -4th July), Wilton’s Music Hall (10th July) and Park Theatre (18th-19th July). The show will play Latitude Festival from 24th-26th July with international dates including Oslo (25th-26th April), 3 Dollar Bill, Brooklyn on 20th June and BATSU!, Manhattan on 22nd June.
House of Life is a travelling musical cult collective, hosted by the Rave-Rend, with one mission: to get you happy, at any cost. A space to celebrate. To elevate. To lay out your shit and wash it away. The chance to achieve absolute euphoric togetherness through the relentless powers of music and vibes.
The show is performed by Ben Welch (The RaveRend) and Lawrence Cole (Trev).
