The production of Yasmina Reza’s play will return to Broadway this Autumn.
It has been announced that James Corden, Neil Patrick Harris, and Bobby Cannavale are set to return to Broadway in a new production of Yasmina Reza’s play at the Music Box Theatre from the 28th August until the 21st December.
Officially opening on the 16th September, the production is set to be directed by Scott Ellis, who directed the currently running Broadway revival Pirates! The Penzance Musical.
The play first debuted in Paris in 1994 and follows a trio of friends whose disagreement about a piece of art soon descends into critiques of the differing personalities.
An English translation Christopher Hampton ran in London in 1996 and on Broadway in 1998, with the play going on to win he Tony Award for Best Play. This translation will be used for the upcoming revival.
Neil Patrick Harris will play Serge, Bobby Cannavale will play the role of Marc and James Corden will take on the character Yvan.
Full creative team will be announced soon, with tickets going on sale on the 30th May.
