The new musical will have performances at the Southwark Playhouse from the 16th to the 19th July.
Full casting has now been announced for the upcoming workshop performances of Mona Loser, the new musical from Kit Buchan and Jim Barn (Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)).
Melanie-Joyce Bermudez will appear in the title role of Mona for these workshop performances, joined by Ahmed Hamad, Chad Saint Louis, Annabel Marlow, Rumi Sutton, and Stevie Webb.
Drawing inspiration from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the musical is set in the music industry and is about viral fame, fakery, and identity.
Directed by Tim Jackson, the creative team also includes: Katy Richardson (Musical Director), Harriet White (Lighting Design), Rob Atkinson (Sound Design) and Olivia Laydon for Jill Green Casting (Casting Director).
This new musical is supported by Birmingham Hippodrome’s New Musical Theatre Department, dedicated to championing original British musical theatre.
