The singer has her first new music since her 2024 EP ‘No Hard Feelings’

Singer Leigh-Anne has marked her return with a brand-new single and video for ‘Been A Minute’, out now via Virgin Music Group.
Produced by Elijah “GYW Eli” Ross (Coco Jones, Lucky Daye, Tinashe) and Lasse Qvist, and co-written by Leigh-Anne, ‘Been A Minute’ samples the classic ‘Work’ by Masters at Work, blending its iconic vocal hook with Leigh-Anne’s slick vocals and dancehall rhythms. Meanwhile, the accompanying video directed by Femi Lade (Pa Salieu, Jorja Smith, Stormzy), captures the unmistakable spirit of carnival in a sexy, celebratory fever dream.
Talking about the single, Leigh-Anne said: “There’s something powerful about sampling a song that shaped me growing up. I used to play it with friends when I was younger, and now I’ve reimagined it as the soundtrack to my comeback. “Been a Minute” is fun, nostalgic, and the first taste of this new era…”

The project was a deeply personal exploration of love, showcasing Leigh-Anne’s ability to skillfully blend her Bajan and Jamaican roots with contemporary R&B influences.
