The show based on Suzanne Collins’s hit book and the film series heads to the stage this October.

Additional casting has now been confirmed for the upcoming world stage premiere of The Hunger Games, set to begin performances at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre on the 20th October.
Joining the previously announced Mia Carragher (One Night in Istanbul, The Gathering for Channel 4) as Katniss Everdeen will be: Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark and Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy. Further casting will be confirmed soon.
Adapted from the first book by Connor McPherson, the production is set to be directed by Matthew Dunster.
Based on the original “Hunger Games” story, this gripping tale of courage, defiance and unbreakable human spirit, follows the fearless heroine Katniss Everdeen on her journey of self-discovery, as she emerges as a beacon of rebellion and hope.
In development for over a year, the creative team behind The Hunger Games includes: Miriam Buether (set designer), Moi Tran (costume designer), Charlotte Broom (choreographer), Lucy Carter (lighting designer), Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound designer), Tal Rosner (video designer), Chris Fisher (illusions), Kev McCurdy (fight director), Suspended Illusions (performer flying), James Maloney (arranger, musical director and additional compositions), Amy Ball (casting director), James Robert Moore (associate director), Robyn Grant (creative assistant director), Luke Smith, (associate set designer) and Lloyd Thomas (production manager).
The Hunger Games book series has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 52 languages. The films have grossed more than $3.4 billion globally. The latest book in the series titled Sunrise on the Reaping, was released earlier this year with a film adaptation scheduled for November 2026.
