The tour is set to open at Milton Keynes Theatre on the 27th August.
Casting has now been confirmed for the upcoming autumn leg of Willy Russell’s classic musical, presented by Bill Kenwright Ltd.
Vivienne Carlyle leads the cast as Mrs. Johnstone, having gained acclaim for her performance since joining the national tour last year. Meanwhile, continuing in the roles of twin brothers Mickey and Eddie, are Sean Jones and Joe Sleight with Gemma Brodrick reprising her role as Linda.
They are joined by the return of Kristofer Harding as the Narrator, Paula Tappenden as Mrs Lyons and Danny Knott as Perkins. Joining the cast for the Autumn 2025 tour are Michael Gillett (Sammy), Francesca Benton-Stace (Donna Marie/Miss Jones), and Latesha Karisa (Brenda). The company os completed by Tim Churchill (Mr. Lyons), Dominic Gore (Neighbour), Alex Harland (Policeman/Teacher) and Graeme Kinniburgh (Postman/Bus Conductor).
The musical was co-directed by Bob Tomson & Bill Kenwright and features a memorable score including Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True. It tells the story of two twins separated at birth, growing up on different sides of the tracks – only to meet again with tragic circumstances.
Dates for the spring 2026 tour are already on sale, with further dates and casting for 2026 to be announced.
The creative team includes; Resident Director Tim Churchill, Musical Supervisor Matt Malone , Set & Costume design by Andy Walmsley, Lighting by Nick Richings and Sound design by Dan Samson.
