The production will run at the theatre from the 29th November until the 4th January.

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced casting for its upcoming musical production of Pinocchio, directed by Glob Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes.
The cast is set to be comprised of: Lee Braithwaite as Pinocchio, Jennifer Caldwell as Ensemble / Swing, Michael Elcock as Carpenter / Rabbit Prince Charming, Kerry Frampton as Fox, Jamal Franklin as Ensemble / Swing, Ed Gaughan as Stromboli, Nick Holder as Geppetto, Lizzy Ives as Ensemble / Swing, Lucy McCormick as Blue Fairy / Cat, Kody Mortimer as Ensemble / Swing, and Steven Webb as Jiminy Cricket / Coachman. Stan Middleton, Aya Nakamura and Andrea Sadler join the company as puppeteers.
Dreaming of a life beyond the confines of his traditional town, restless maverick Gepetto carves a wooden puppet and calls him Pinocchio. Together, they embark on a series of adventures with a host of weird and wonderful characters as they teach each other how to love and build a community of their own.
Suitable for those aged 5+, the musical features book and lyrics by Charlie Josephine (I, Joan, Globe; Cowbois, RSC/ Royal Court), and music and lyrics by Jim Fortune (Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear, Hex, National).
Talking about the production, Sean Holmes said: “It’s a privilege to be part of the team bringing this magical new musical to the Globe this Christmas. Like the story itself we hope the production makes the impossible possible.”
Pinocchio is esigned by Grace Smart, with Peter O’Rourke as puppetry director and designer, Tony Gayle as sound designer, Zac Gvi as orchestrator, Roberta Zuric as associate director, Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu as choreographer, and Benjamin Holder as musical director.
