The event will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the international film and video art project that has connected artists and audiences across the UK, Hong Kong, and beyond.

Curated by UK-based videoclub and Dr. Isaac Leung (Hong Kong), this special anniversary programme will be presented at the Barbican Centre on 30 October 2025 at 7pm.
Over the last 10 years, Both Sides Now has explored shifting cultural landscapes through moving image, reflecting on how artists respond to political, technological, and societal change. This 10th edition of the event will bring together 10 significant works from the past ten years of the programme that reflect on themes such as media control, migration, memory, labour, and posthuman experience.
The featured artists and their work for this event are as follows:
Ellen Pau – Diversion (1990)
A landmark work reflecting on migration and memory in post-Tiananmen Hong Kong.
● Choi Sai Ho – The 1960s For Me (2015)
A poetic remix of 1960s pop culture and political change.
● Heather Phillipson – Splashy Phasings (2013)

A hallucinatory sci-fi journey exploring identity and AI consciousness.
