The new musical will have its world premiere at the Southwark Playhouse from the 15th January until the 28th February.
Producers have announced the the release of the full concept album of the new musical Beautiful Little Fool. The album was recorded in New York and features Jessie Mueller, Ryan Vasquez and Hannah Corneau and is available to listen to now on all major streaming platforms.
In addition, a brand new music video of ‘One Night in July‘, sung by Jessie Mueller, Ryan Vasquez and Hannah Corneau is now available to watch alongside the first single, So Alive, sung by Jessie Mueller, on all streaming platforms.
Featuring music and lyrics by Hannah Corneau and a book by Mona Mansour, the new musical tells the story of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald through the eyes of their daughter Scottie, as she rediscovers the lives and writings of her brilliant and tempestuous parents.
Directed by Michael Greif, the London production will star: Lauren Ward (Matilda, Dear Evan Hansen, Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as ‘Scottie’, Declan Bennett (Once, Jesus Christ Superstar, Moulin Rouge!) as ‘F. Scott Fitzgerald’, and Hannah Corneau (Wicked, Renascence, Frozen) as ‘Zelda’.
Beautiful Little Fool will have orchestrations by Adam Rothenberg, musical direction by Jerome van den Berghe, set design by Shankho Chaudhuri, costume design by Laura Hopkins, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Domnic Bilkey.
The musical was originally commissioned by New Works Provincetown, and is produced by Mark Cortale, Jonathan Murray, Harvey Reese, and Willette & Manny Klausner.
