Here’s a guide to some of the shows that are heading to the New York stage next year…

Every Brilliant Thing, Hudson Theatre: Daniel Radcliffe is set to return to Broadway in the Broadway premiere of Duncan Macmillan & Jonny Donahoe’s solo show about a man reflecting on his life. It will play for a strictly limited 13 week run from the 26th February.
Joe Turner’s Come & Gone, Ethel Barrymore Theatre: August Wilson’s drama will be revived in a production directed by Debbie Allen and starring Taraji P. Henson, Cedric “The Entertainer”, Joshua Boone and Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Set in an African-American boarding house during the Great Migration and is the second instalment of Wilson’s decade-by-decade chronicle of the African-American experience, The Pittsburgh Cycle. It will begin previews on the 30th March.

Giant, Music Box Theatre: following successful runs at the Royal Court Theatre and Harold Pinter Theatre in London, John Lithgow will reprise his role as Roald Dahl in the Broadway run of the Olivier Award winning play by Mark Rosenblatt. The production will begin performances on the 11th March.
Proof, Booth Theatre: Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe Award winner Ayo Edebiri and Academy Award nominee, two-time Golden Globe Award winner, and 11-time Emmy Award nominee Don Cheadle will be making their Broadway debuts in the upcoming revival of David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof. Directed by. Thomas Kail, the production will open for previews on the 31st March and officially opening on the 16th April.

Rocky Horror Show, Studio 54: recently announced by Roundabout Theatre Company, this revival of Richard O’Brien’s musical will be directed by Sam Pinkleton. It will also see Hollywood actor Luke Evans make his Broadway debut in the production, playing the iconic Dr. Frank-n-Furter. The production will have a strictly limited run from the 26th March until the 21st June.
Cats: the Jellicle Ball, Broadhurst Theatre: beginning previews on the 18th March, this reimagining of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical is set in a drag ballroom. Directed by Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch, the production is set to star: André De Shields, Jonathan Burke, Baby Byrne and Sydney James Harcourt.

Fallen Angels, Todd Haimes Theatre: this revival of Noel Coward’s comedy will head to the New York stage next March, directed by Scott Ellis. Starring Kelli O’Hara & Rose Byrne, the story follows that of two housewives who discuss their pre-marital dalliances with the same man (who may be about to arrive for a visit), with old rivalries and past scandals threatening to rise to the surface…
Dreamgirls: the hit musical will return to Broadway next autumn, with further details in terms of dates and theatre. A nationwide search is currently underway to find the central three characters. The musical is set to be directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown.

The Lost Boys: A New Musical, Palace Theatre: this brand new stage adaptation based on the classic 1987 film is set to head to the stage from the 27th March. Directed by Michael Arden, the story follows a gang of teenage vampires and will star: Caissie Levy, LJ Benet and Ali Louis Bourzgui.
Schmigadoon!, Nederlander Theatre: based on the Apple TV series of the same name, the musical heads to Broadway following its run at the Kennedy Centre. It has been confirmed that Alex Brightman and Sara Chase will reprise their roles as Josh Skinner and Melissa Gimble for the limited run (4th April-6th September).
