The production of Alan Ayckbourn’s play will run in London from the 9th December until the 28th February 2026. It will then head to Sunderland Empire from the 4th March to 7th March 2026 and Theatre Royal Glasgow from the 10th March to 14 March 2026.

Rehearsal images have now been released for a new production of Alan Ayckbourn’s Woman in Mind, which is set to be directed by Michael Longhurst.

The cast for the production is led by Sheridan Smith as Susan and Romesh Ranganathan as Bill. They are joined by Louise Brealey as Muriel, Tim McMullan as Gerald, Sule Rimi as Andy, Chris Jenks as Tony, Safia Oakley-Green as Lucy and Taylor Uttley as Rick, as well as Katie Buchholz and Michael Woolfitt, who complete the company.

When Susan sustains a bump to the head, her world splits in two—one mundane, one imagined—and the lines begin to blur. Ayckbourn’s groundbreaking play is a hilarious and gripping exploration of identity, family, and mental escape.

The creative team behind the production includes: set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Lee Curran, sound design by Paul Arditti and casting by Jim Carnahan and Liz Fraser. Wessex Grove and Gavin Kalin Productions are producers.
