The production is set to run at the theatre’s Dorfman space from the 30th January until the 14th March 2026.

The National Theatre has announced complete casting for its revival of ‘Man and Boy’ by Terrance Rattigan, directed by Anthony Lau in his first production for the venue.
It has been confirmed that Ben Daniels and Laurie Kynaston play Gregor Antonescu and his son Basil in this contemporary production of the play.
They will be joined by Phoebe Campbell as Carol Penn, Nick Fletcher as Sven Johnson, Isabella Laughland as Countess Antonescu, Malcolm Sinclair as Mark Herries and Leo Wan as David Beeston.
Jazz, Broadway and the Great Depression. In 1930s New York City, international financier Gregor Antonescu’s luck has finally run out. As news of a catastrophic business deal ripples across the world, he flees to the apartment of his estranged son Basil.
Truths are uncovered and relationships are tested as Gregor gets down to business, to save his reputation and keep his empire from collapse.
The creative team behind the production includes Georgia Lowe on set and costumes, Elliot Griggs on lighting, Haruka Kuroda as intimacy director, Aline David on choreography and movement, Angus MacRae as composer, Giles Thomas on sound, Martin Poile as casting director, Aundrea Fudge as dialect coach and Rachel Lemon as staff director.
