NEWS: New Artwork Released for Beautiful Little Fool

New artwork has now been released for the upcoming world premiere of Beautiful Little Fool, which begins performances later this month.

The production is set to star: David Hunter – whose extensive musical theatre roles include WaitressOnceKinky Boots and The Time Traveller’s Wife – as ‘F. Scott’ alongside Lauren Ward (MatildaDear Evan HansenStranger Things: The First Shadow) as ‘Scottie’ and Hannah Corneau (WickedRenascenceFrozen) as ‘Zelda’.

Meanwhile, the company will be completed by  David Austin-Barnes (Book of Mormon, US tour) as ensemble / cover ‘F.Scott’, Amy Parker (13 Going on 30, Manchester Opera House, Ride, Charing Cross Theatre) as Ensemble / cover ‘Scottie’ and ‘Zelda’, and Jasmine Hackett (Muriel’s Wedding, Leicester Curve, Toys the Musical, Watford) as swing.

Told through the eyes of their adult daughter Scottie, Beautiful Little Fool tells the story of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald: brilliant, tempestuous and infamous.

Years on from the Roaring Twenties, with the party long over, the lives and writings of Scottie’s legendary parents are brought vividly to life in this new musical.

Beautiful Little Fool features music and lyrics by Hannah Corneau and a book by Mona Mansour. It is directed by  Michael Greif and features orchestrations by Adam Rothenberg, musical direction by Jerome van den Berghe, set design by Shankho Chaudhuri, costume design by Laura Hopkins, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design by Domnic Bilkey.

The musical was originally commissioned by New Works Provincetown, and is produced by Mark Cortale, Jonathan Murray, Harvey Reese, and Willette & Manny Klausner.
