NEWS: Full Cast & Creative Team Announced for ‘Copenhagen’ at Hampstead Theatre

It has been announced that Damian Molony will join Alex Kingston and Richard Schiff in Michael Frayn’s Copenhagen at Hampstead Theatre.

The play receives its first  London staging since its 1998 premiere and is directed for this revival by Michael Longhurst.

In 1941, in the middle of the Second World War, the great German physicist Werner Heisenberg made a strange trip to Copenhagen to see his Danish counterpart Niels Bohr. They were old friends, and their brilliant collaboration in the twenties had begun to lay bare the mysteries at the heart of the atom. But now Denmark was under German occupation, the meeting was fraught with danger and embarrassment – and Heisenberg was burdened with a terrible secret.

Damian Molony is known for his performances in Being Human and Brassic. His stage credits include King Lear (Chichester Festival Theatre) and No Man’s Land (Wyndham’s Theatre).

Meanwhile the creative team includes: designer Joanna Scothcher, lighting designer Neil Austin and sound designer Richard Hammarton. The casting director is Jim Carnahan CSA.
