The popular series which parodies horror films is set to be released in cinemas this June.
The first trailer for the upcoming sixth film of the Scary Movie series has been released today, offering a glimpse of some of the films that will be made fun of.
During the trailer, teases spoofs of Get Out, the Terrifier films, Megan, Wednesday, and, of course, the Scream franchise among others.
Directed by Michael Tiddes, the film has been written by Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans, along with Rick Alvarez.
Set 26 years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer who goes by the name of Ghostface, the core gang are back in the killer’s sights – with no horror film safe in being spoofed. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) all return to their roles alongside new characters and some familiar favourites.
The first film in the series was released in 2000 and was directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans.
