There’s plenty of exciting things happening in theatre both in London and New York – here’s a few shows to keep your eye on!

Romeo & Juliet, Harold Pinter Theatre:
Officially opening on the 31st March, Robert Icke brings Shakespeare’s greatest love story and tragedy to the West End. Icke has previously brought Shakespeare’s Hamlet to the stage starring Andrew Scott so it will be interesting to see what he does with Romeo & Juliet which is currently booking until the 6th June.
My Uncle is not Pablo Escobar, Brixton House:
Returning to London and the same theatre from the 7th April, the play puts Latinx women centre stage as they risk everything to expose a multinational bank. Written by Elizabeth Alvarado, Valentina Andrade, Tommy Ross-Williams & Lucy Wray, the show was co-created by Joana Nastari and is described as ‘part journalistic expose, part thriller’ this is certainly one to go and see.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Old Vic Theatre:
This stage adaptation based on Ken Kesey’s novel and of course the Oscar winning film will begin performances on the 1st April. Directed by Clint Dyer and adapted for the stage by Dale Wasserman, the cast includes Aaron Pierre as Randle P McMurphy and Giles Terera as Dale Harding.

Avenue Q, Shaftesbury Theatre:
Returning to the West End to celebrate its 20th anniversary, this hilarious musical will officially open on the 16th April. For those whoo are thinking it will be a family friendly show – please note it is only suitable for those 16+ given the humour that is weaved through from start to finish! This revival of the musical is being directed by Jason Moore, with the production also featuring puppet design by Rick Lyon.
Titanique, St James Theatre (Broadway):
Following successful runs Off-Broadway and a continuous run in the West End (with the West End production being an Olivier Award winning one!), Broadway audiences will now get a chance to see this hilarious show. Spoofing the 1997 film Titanic and using the iconic songs of Celine Dion this is definitely going to be a show that brightens up Broadway!
