NEWS: London Palladium Announces ‘Cinderella’ as 2026 Pantomime

It has been announced that French and Saunders will reunite on stage for the first time in 17 years to take part in the London Palladium’s new production of the classic fairytale Cinderella.

The production will see Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders playing the Ugly Sisters, while they will be joined on stage by Julian Clary as the Fairy Godfather, alongside Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers and Rob Madge.Also in the principal cast are Dex Lee as Prince Charming and Hope Dawe as Cinderella – both making their London Palladium pantomime debuts.

This year will mark the 11th  year that Clary, Zerdin and Havers have all taken part in the pantomime at the Palladium since the tradition was revived in 2016.

French and Saunders said: “We have wished to play the Ugly Sisters for so many years it feels this is the fulfilment of a dream – a dream our hearts made. Watch out. It won’t be pretty.”

This newly announced show follows on from last year’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Cinderella will feature set design by Mark Walters, costumes by Hugh Durrant, Teresa Nalton and Mike Coltman, choreography by Karen Bruce, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Matt Peploe and music by George Dyer.
