The album was recorded at the recent London Palladium residency (24th to the 29th March, conducted by Jason Robert Brown.

It has been announced that Atlantic Records will release the official live recording of The Last Five Years (25th Anniversary Live at the London Palladium), which features Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award winner Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen, Pitch Perfect, Parade) and Golden Globe and NBR winner Rachel Zegler (Evita, The Hunger Games, West Side Story).
The announcement was made from the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, where Platt and Zegler revealed the news during curtain call for the concert’s north American leg. This newly announced album will be released on the 20th April, titled The Last Five Years (25th Anniversary Live at the London Palladium).
Having premiered in 2001, The Last Five Years focuses on a five year relationship between Cathy and Jamie. It has been revived both theatrically and in concert form on numerous occasions.
The 25th anniversary production was presented by Lambert Jackson, with the creative team including Brown as director and conductor, associate director Emma Butler and musical director Leo Munby.
