The former X Factor winner has announced that he will be heading off on a brand new UK tour in support of his upcoming fifth studio album Saturday Night at the Movies.

Joe McElderry has returned to the recording studio to record his fifth studio album Saturday Night at the Movies, due for release this July but it will be available to pre-order through iTunes on Mother’s Day, with the first single from the album Gloria being available to buy and download from the 6th March.

The singer’s new album will be packed with iconic hits from the world of theatre and film including I’m into Something Good, Love is All Around and  Daydream Believer  as well as the new single Gloria, which was written by 10CC front man Graham Gouldman.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the release of his brand new album McElderry will embark on a UK tour from the 14th July. Titled The Gloria Tour, this live show will feature songs from his new album as well as songs from previous albums.  

For the tour, McElderry will be joined on stage by special guests, X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels and Any Dream Will Do runners up Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis who have all featured in the musical phenomenon Bill Kenwright’s production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.

The live shows will open at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on 14 July, before visiting Brighton, Liverpool, Aylesbury, Cardiff, Crawley, Salford, Bristol, Woking, Birmingham, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Southport, Buxton, Oxford, Norwich, York, Sunderland, Grimsby, Folkestone, High Wycombe, Stoke-on-Trent, Weston-Super-Mare, Wimbledon, finishing at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton on 21 August 2017.
