The production will arrive at London’s Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from the 12th October.
It has been announced that McFly band member Harry Judd will star as Coach Bolton in the London transfer of the highly anticipated first UK non-replica production of Disney’s High School Musical.
The news of the London transfer comes following a summer season at Lowry, Salford from the 22nd August 2026 until Saturdayth 19 September 2026.
Judd will take over from Jason Donovan who will play Coach Bolton at Lowry, Salford.
Continuing with the show will be current cast members Tobias Turley, Leonor Correia, Caitlin Tipping, Luke Bayer andrecently announced Disney star KayCee Stroh as Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan and Ms Darbus respectively. Further casting will be announced soon.

It’s such an iconic film that meant so much to me growing up and now getting to share that same excitement with my own family— makes this even more special. As a dad, it’s been amazing to revisit this story through my children’s eyes and see just how timeless it really is—the music, the energy, the message about believing in yourself—it all still resonates so strongly across generations.

Based on the hit Disney Channel Original Movie- join Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High as they navigate the highs and lows of first love, friendships, and self-discovery — all while juggling classes, basketball games, auditions and the expectations of their peers.
The stage adaptation will feature songs from the film including: Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game and Stick to the Status Quo.
High School Musical features a book by David Simpatico with music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle. It is co-directed by Hope Mill founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton.
