Prepare to be whisked away to the South of France courtesy of the launched Riviera Terrace as part of the bar which offers quiet serenity away from the hustle and bustle of the London crowds.

Having officially opened in may, this newly launched Riviera terrace is filled with colour courtesy of foliage such as lavender, wisteria and hydrengeas to offer a outdoor space that is relaxing and ensures that you feel as though you are in the South of France – while only being a few steps away from Oxford Street.
This terrace continues the inspiration of Sir Winston Churchill, who spent a lot of time in the South of France. Designed specifically for the Spring and Summer months, the second that guests step into this intimate space, there is a sense of a calm that washes over you, with the chaos of city life being swept away.
As an extension of the warmth and classiness of the bar, the terrace is a wonderful place to catch up with friends and relax. An addition charm to the experience of visiting is the way in which it also includes a way to connect – in the form of postcards in which you can post one to whoever you choose courtesy of a charming mini postbox in the area too. It is a lovely touch to refer to Sir Winston Churchill, whose statue sits in the space too, refelcting his own era of travel and communication.

But the menu is also divine to sample as well, with particular highlights including Beef Carpaccio (with parmesan & rocket), Red Tuna Tartare, Grilled Tiger Prawns, Chicken Milanese, Tiramisu. The variety of dishes available ensure a very continental experience that will suit all tastebuds for either a lazy long lunch or a catch up with friends.
Meanwhile, this can all be enjoyed alongside a delicious variety of spritzes to again suit all tastes including: Finest Hour (Kaffir lime leaf infused Blanco Tequila, Campari, Agave, Lime, Grapefruit Soda), Bon Vivant (Rosé Champagne NV, Fig, Plum, Soda water) and Mediterranean Affair (White Port Wine, Olive Lemonade). Non alcoholic spritzes include: Golden Breeze (Kalamansi, Green grapes, Cacao & Honeybush blend, Soda water) and Lady Clementine (verleaf Mountain, Lyre’s Aperitif, Homemade Hibiscus Soda).
Overall, the Churchill Bar and Terrace is a wonderful way to relax after a day of exploring the city, taking you away from the hustle and bustle of city life and absorb everything about London you have taken in.
