NEWS: One Day the Musical to Have West End Run

It has been announced that the musical adaptation of David Nicholls’ 2009 novel One Day will play in the West End this Autumn.

Adapted for the stage by David Greig, it has music and lyrics by Abner and Amanda Ramirez of Johnnyswim, with additional material by Jeremy Sams.

The story is set on  St Swithin’s Day (15 July) over the years as it follows the relationship between Dexter and Emma as they move from being students to adults. As well as the stage adaptation, One Day was also transformed into a film starring Anne Hathaway and a Netflix series.

In addition, it has been confirmed that Jamie Muscato will reprise his role as Dexter and Sharon Rose will also reprise her role as Emma.

Set to run at the Garrick Theatre from the 17th November until the 14th March 2027, the production is directed by Max Webster.

Meanwhile, the creative team behind the production also includes: choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, musical supervisor, musical director and co-arranger Nigel Lilley, set and costume designer Rae Smith, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Simon Baker, orchestrator and co-arranger Simon Hale, and casting director Stuart Burt.
