Having been previously been held in  more than 20 different cities in the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan over the past 25 years, it has been announced that the Taste of Iceland festival will head to London for the first time this September.

Over three days, the festival celebrates the best of Icelandic food, music, wellness, travel, and culture. While most events are free, tickets are required to access the festival.

Among the highlights of the festival include Icelandic Menu at Darby’s which is an exclusive collaborative dining experience will be held throughout the festival with special nightly dinners at Darby’s featuring Chef Hinrik Örn Lárusson: Icelandic chef and entrepreneur. This dining experience will take place daily at 6:30pm, with the Icelandic menu costing £85 per person.

Meanwhile visitors to the festival can also enjoy images of Iceland by the world’s worst photographer. This project was inspired when Icelandair set out to prove a point and to push back against the onslaught of AI-generated travel images. From 27,642 applicants, one rose above the rest as the very best of the worst, Blanche Montemard, 28, from Paris, who spent 10 days that June photographing Iceland’s most iconic landscapes. Now, at Taste of Iceland in London, the public can see the results, with every shot telling a story, some of it just slightly out of focus. This event will be available Friday from 2pm – 8pm and Saturday from 12pm – 9pm at White Rabbit Studios.
