The big screen adaptation of Suzie Miller’s play is set to be released in cinemas on the 13th November.
The official trailer for the upcoming film Prima Facie starring Cynthia Erivo, Daniel Ings, Toheeb Jimoh and Noma Dumezweni has been released.
A young, ambitious trial lawyer (Cynthia Erivo) brilliantly navigates the ruthless London court system where she is unmatched in her defense of the accused, including men charged with sexual assault. Just as her career is taking off, a life-altering event forces her to reckon with her belief in the judicial system that was once the core of her identity.
Directed by Susanna White, the film is based on Suzie Miller’s critically acclaimed play of the same name which won two Olivier Awards including Best New Play.
The movie is produced by Australia’s Bunya Productions and the UK’s Embankment Films.
