Filled with nostalgia and surprises along the way, Westlife’s current world tour has plenty to leave their fans completely satisfied from start to finish.

Whether it is their joyous renditions of ‘Bop Bop Baby’ that is guaranteed to get everyone dancing or the their haunting version of ‘You Raise Me Up’, which features a spectacular display involving drones, it is clear that this is a concert that has been carefully curated.

While it was a shame that Mark (currently not touring with the group due to ongoing health issues) wasn’t there to celebrate the occasion with Mark, Nicky and Kian this concert encapsulates how and why Westlife is still so beloved today.

Songs such as ‘Uptown Girl’ and ‘When You’re Looking Like That’ are given surprisingly modern twists that ensures that the evening is constantly kept interesting, giving the fans plenty to sing and dance about.

The setlist covers all of their biggest hits and includes latest song ‘Chariot’ which is really beautiful to hear performed live. Throughout it all, their harmonies are all perfectly matched, with songs such as ‘What About Now’ (which proved surprisingly emotional for this writer to listen to) and ‘If I Let You Go’ – both of which soar beautifully.

But the show is also fantastic to look at visually, with the screens capturing the different moods that the songs take in along the way. It has all been carefully created for dazzling effect.

Throughout it all, the fans were truly basking in the warmth and joy of each performance, with the energy levels high throughout.

Personal highlights from the whole performance included a gorgeously wistful ‘I Have A Dream’, the uplifting vibes of ‘Hello My Love’ that nearly brought the roof off The O2 and ‘Starlight’ that just felt joyous to hear being performed live.

Everything about this concert worked, each song merging into the next with ease and style to ensure that audience is left thoroughly satisfied. Let’s see what Westlife have in store for us all next.
