1. NotMoses, Arts Theatre: 9th April – this world premiere production written and directed by Gary Sinyor, received mixed opinions when it opened. But if you loved ‘Life of Brian’ then there is a chance that you will enjoy this! 2. Billy Elliot, Victoria Palace Theatre: 9th April – this long running show might be leaving the West End – but fret not as it has just started on its UK tour, ensuring that more people than ever will get an opportunity to see the show. 3. Welcome Home, Captain Fox! Donmar Warehouse, 16th April: this production received great reviews from critics when it opened at the theatre. Based on Jean Anouilh’s hit 1937 play, Le Voyageur sans bagage the production is directed by Blanche McIntyre and stars Katherine Kingsley and Sian Thomas.
4. If You Kiss Me Kiss me, Young Vic Theatre, 16th April: this is your last chance to catch Jane Horrocks and co.’s gig and dance piece featuring music by the likes of The Smiths, Joy Division and The Human League among others.
5. Nell Gwynn, Apollo Theatre, 30th April: having recently won an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, the show enters its final weeks in the West End. Gemma Arterton and the rest of the cast deliver a wonderfully warm performance – catch it while you can! Read Love London Love Culture’s review here.
