NEWS: Zoonation’s The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is Reimagined for the Roundhouse

The family friendly spectacular show will be performed at the Roundhouse from the 30th December until the 22nd January 2017.

Following a successful run at the Royal Opera House in 2014, the Royal Ballet and ZooNation production will burst onto the stage at the Roundhouse this December.

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is a show which feature a host of body-popping and break-dancing characters, with live music composed by DJ Walde and Josh Cohen.

This unique production of course draws inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, featuring a whole host of characters from the original story including The White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts.

The patients at the Institution for Extremely Normal Behaviour all claim to come from a place called Wonderland. Their new doctor, Ernest, interrupts their never-ending tea party to insist on a ‘T for Therapy’ party – but slowly Ernest becomes more and more like his patients…

Since forming in 2002, ZooNation has created productions such as Into the Hoodsand Some Like it Hip Hop that bring hip hop off the streets and into the theatre.

This latest show is directed and written by Kate Prince and is presented as part of The Royal Ballet Studio Programme.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party will be performed at the Roundhouse from the 30th December until the 22nd January 2017. For more information and to book tickets visit: http://www.roundhouse.org.uk/whats-on/2017/the-mad-hatters-tea-party/
