The National Theatre production will see director Ivo Van Hove making his National Theatre debut with this modern interpretation of Ibsen’s masterpiece.

This new production of the classic play will see Ruth Wilson playing the title role alongside Rafe Spall (Constellations) Chukwudi Iwuji, currently playing Hamlet for the Public Theater in New York, Kate Duchêne, Éva Magyar, Sinéad Matthews and Kyle Soller.

Hedda Gabler has been reimagined in a modern production which features set and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys and sound by Tom Gibbons.
The production will be broadcast by NT Live to cinemas across the world on March 9th, with encore performances from the 23rd March.
