Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End production of School of Rock is extending its booking period at the New London Theatre until the 28th May 2017.

News of the extension follows on from the news that the show broke the box office record at the New London Theatre, previously held by War Horse.

The production stars David Fynn as Dewey Finn alongside Florence Andrews as Rosalie Mullins, Oliver Jackson as Ned Schneebly and Preeya Kalidas as Patty Di Marco. The adult cast perform alongside  of three teams of thirteen young performers who make up Dewey’s band.

Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.

School of Rock features music from the hit film as well as new music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Julian Fellowes. It is directed by Laurence Connor.
