The full casting for The Blues Brothers – Summer Special arriving at the Hippodrome in Leicester Square for a limited season has been announced.
Returning from the 18th July, casting for the Summer Special includes the return of Joshua Mumby as Elwood Blues and David Kristopher-Brown as Jake Blues, alongside Helen Hart and Hannah Kee as the Stax Sisters and new cast member Arnold Mabhena as Ray.
Grab your shades and get ready to shake your tail feather because The Blues Brothers are making a sensational return to the London stage.
The Blues Brothers – Summer Special is a supercharged, rock ‘n’ roll party, destined to take the capital by storm during its exclusive summer run at The Hippodrome in the heart of the West End.
Featuring 20 of the most popular rock ‘n’ roll classics of all time – including Respect, Jailhouse Rock, Soul Man and Do You Love Me? – the show is created with the blessing of the team behind the original Blues Brothers, and now also includes some never-seen-before material created under the guidance of Judith Belushi.
The Blues Brothers – Summer Special is brought to the stage by Hartshorn – Hook Productions and is directed by Joshua Mumby. Meanwhile, the production features choreography by Lily Howkins and musical direction by James Robert Ball.
Hartshorn – Hook Productions recent West End credits as producers and associate producers include the Olivier Award winning Rotterdam (Trafalgar Studios), Murder Ballad (Arts), Urinetown (Apollo), American Idiot (Arts and UK Tour) and The Blues Brothers: Xmas Special (Arts).
