PREVIEW: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , New Victoria Theatre

X Factor winner Joe McElderry takes on the role of Joseph, marking his first theatrical appearance.

Arriving at the New Victoria Theatre from the 12th to the 16th September, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door To Me.

Bill Kenwright’s production starring the singer arrives following the release of Joe McElderry’s latest album Saturday Night at the Movies which features tracks such as  I’m into Something Good, Love is All Around, Daydream Believer as well as the hit single Gloria which will all be performed in his upcoming stage show Saturday Night at the Movies.

Bill Kenwright’s version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has been a firm family favourite since it was first performed over 36 years ago.

Joe McElderry first came to public attention when he was 18, winning the X Factor and getting his first number one single with his version of ‘The Climb’ as well as three top ten albums.
